Decades ago, trusting a stranger to drive you around or deliver your food seemed crazy. Today, it’s the norm. Background checking Gig workers is a multi-billion dollar industry. But what if you don’t have the resources of a VC-backed HR department or rating systems - how can you reliably background-check your babysitter, house cleaner, or FB Marketplace seller?

YourCheck is building a two-tap verification application to send and receive background checks for the gig economy. Currently, the majority of background checks happen for gig workers at marketplace start-ups (Uber, DoorDash, Airbnb). YourCheck is filling the gap by providing screening services for gig workers like lawnmowers, babysitters, and house cleaners. They made a powerful app, designed with security from the start, which utilizes a dead-simple user interface. Their data is sourced from industry leaders (like government agencies) and verification is as simple as two-taps.

All methods are free, but none are completely reliable: They cross-check references, manually contact mutual friends, search Google, and use other "back alley" channels to verify baby sitters. With all this effort, users are practically asking for a central solution. That's why YourCheck is honing in on making a simple and secure app that anyone can use.
2. 📈 Gig Economy is on the Rise! (Market is Growing)
   The Gig market growth 15% in the past decade - wow. When we think of Gig economy, we think of Airbnbs, Ubers, and Etsys. However, non-startup-related Gig economy workers also exist! In fact, there are also millions of jobs that are unaccounted for like unofficial babysitters, local handymen, gardeners, etc. YourCheck is a tool that can be utilized for the latter, less established, gig economy jobs.
