Background

Balaji Srinivasan holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford, plus an MS in chemical engineering from Stanford. He co-founded genomics company Counsyl, served as a General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz from 2013 focusing on crypto and bio investments, and was CTO of Coinbase from 2018 to 2019 where he led the launch of USDC. He launched the Balaji Fund in December 2023, backed by Naval Ravikant and Brian Armstrong. He is the author of The Network State and founded The Network School in Malaysia in 2024. His 170+ investments span crypto, AI, biotech, and deep tech, including Perplexity, Replit, Superhuman, OpenSea, and Alchemy.
