Background
Bejul Somaia joined Lightspeed Venture Partners in 2008 and spearheaded the firm's expansion into India, Southeast Asia, and Europe over the subsequent decade. He holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His India portfolio returned over $1 billion to investors, and he won the Midas Touch award for best venture capital investor in India in 2019. He currently sits on the boards of Neko Health, OYO, and Aspire, among others. Somaia has more than 25 years of experience as an investor and operator, and is recognized as a leading global early-stage investor across consumer and enterprise categories.
