Bill Maris is Founder and General Partner of S32, a venture capital firm he founded in 2017 with approximately $2B under management. He previously founded and served as CEO of Google Ventures (GV), Alphabet's venture capital arm, and held the role of VP of Special Projects at Alphabet. During his Google tenure, he helped establish Google X, Waymo, and Verily, and founded Calico, a company researching aging biology. Earlier, he founded one of the world's first web-hosting companies and worked at Sweden-based Investor AB. His portfolio includes Uber, Nest, Slack, CrowdStrike, Coinbase, and Flatiron Health.
