Co-Founder & Partner, Foundry
Boulder-based VC and startup community builder
Brad Feld co-founded Foundry Group (later renamed Foundry) in 2007 with Seth Levine, Ryan McIntyre, and Jason Mendelson, building it into a firm with $3.5 billion in assets under management. He has been an early-stage investor and entrepreneur for over 35 years and is a co-founder of Techstars, the global startup accelerator network. Foundry announced in early 2024 that it would not raise a new fund and is in an intentional wind-down, deploying its final fund (Foundry 2022) through approximately 2026 while supporting its existing portfolio. Feld is a prolific author and blogger, having written books including Venture Deals, Startup Communities, and Give First. He is based in Boulder, Colorado and is a prominent advocate for building startup ecosystems outside major tech hubs.
Invested in software and internet companies across the US with a focus on themes rather than sectors, emphasizing founder-friendly terms and long-term relationship building within startup communities.
