Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Lowercarbon Capital
Climate tech VC, early Twitter and Uber backer
Chris Sacca co-founded Lowercarbon Capital in 2020 with his wife Crystal Sacca, focusing exclusively on companies that reduce carbon emissions and address climate change. Before Lowercarbon, he ran Lowercase Capital, which made legendary early investments in Twitter, Uber, Instagram, and Stripe, earning him the #2 spot on Forbes' Midas List in 2017. He previously held leadership roles at Google including Head of Special Initiatives. Sacca retired from venture investing in 2017 before returning to back climate solutions in 2020. Lowercarbon manages over $2 billion in assets across more than 200 portfolio companies. In 2025, the firm was raising a second dedicated fusion fund, building on its first $250 million fusion vehicle from 2022.
