Jeremy Liew joined Lightspeed Venture Partners in 2006 as the firm's first consumer specialist and built its consumer and gaming investment practice. He is best known as the first institutional investor in Snapchat, turning an $8.1M total commitment into approximately $2B at IPO in 2017. He also co-led early rounds in Affirm, The Honest Company, Bonobos, Rothy's, Giphy, and Blockchain.com. In August 2021 he stepped back from making new investments, remaining a partner focused on portfolio companies and mentoring. He was born in Singapore, raised in Perth, Australia, and holds degrees from Australian National University and an MBA from Stanford.
