Kevin Hale co-founded Wufoo, an online form builder, in 2006 as one of the earliest Y Combinator-funded startups; it was acquired by SurveyMonkey in 2011. He joined Y Combinator as a partner in 2013, serving until 2020, where he worked with portfolio companies on UX design, product development, and customer support. During his tenure at YC, he became known for his teachings on product design and startup pitching, including the widely cited pitch deck framework. As an angel investor, he has backed 20+ startups including Zapier, Checkr, Front, Ironclad, DoorDash, Flexport, GitLab, and Postscript. He holds a BA in Digital Arts and English from Stetson University.
