Background

Lauren Faber O'Connor is a Partner at Lowercarbon Capital focused on finding and scaling technologies that reduce carbon emissions. She previously served as Chief Sustainability Officer for the City of Los Angeles, overseeing the green transition of the second-largest US city over eight years. Earlier she was West Coast Political Director for the Environmental Defense Fund and Assistant Secretary for Climate Change at California EPA. She holds a Stanford BS in Earth Systems and Economics and a Columbia MS in Climate and Society, and she teaches at USC.
