Matt Eggers

Background

Matt Eggers is a Managing Director at Prelude Ventures who joined in 2023 after a decade in climate tech operations and investing. He transitioned from biotech to climate after leading a cancer drug launch at Genentech and then held executive positions at Sunrun, Bloom Energy, and Tesla across operations, sales, and product. He most recently invested at Breakthrough Energy Ventures before joining Prelude. He holds a BS in molecular biology from Duke University and an MBA from Stanford.
