Background

Michael Wellman is a Bloomberg Beta Open Angel and the Open Angels Syndicate Lead. He founded Virgil Security, Inc., a company making every software developer an applied cryptologist. He is a Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners and a mentor at the Mach37 cybersecurity accelerator and SparkLabs Cyber+Blockchain. He advises and invests in cybersecurity, enterprise software, and developer security companies including HyperQube, RunSafe Security, and Shevirah. He is a Rice University engineering and mathematics alumnus.
