Background

Mo Islam is a Partner at Obvious Ventures leading investments in deep tech and frontier AI. He previously served as a partner at DFJ and its spinout Threshold Ventures, and conducted technical diligence at In-Q-Tel supporting CIA assessments. His background includes engineering roles at Lockheed Martin, the National Science Foundation, and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He holds a BS in electrical engineering with honors in international security studies and an MBA from Stanford. He was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in Venture Capital in 2017.
