Naval Ravikant was born in New Delhi and immigrated to the United States as a child, graduating from Dartmouth College in 1995 with degrees in computer science and economics. He co-founded AngelList in 2010, which became a foundational platform for startup fundraising and angel syndication. He was an early-stage angel investor in Uber, Twitter, Postmates, and Yammer before any achieved mainstream recognition. He co-founded Airchat in 2023 and serves as chairman of the investment committee for AngelList's USVC fund, launched in April 2026 to provide retail investors access to late-stage private companies. He is widely known for his essays and podcast on wealth, happiness, and leverage.
