Background

Shardul Shah has been a partner at Index Ventures since 2008, based in New York, and is recognized as one of the world's leading cybersecurity investors. He began his career at Summit Partners after graduating from the University of Chicago. He was the first institutional investor in Wiz, which was acquired by Google for $32 billion in 2025 — the largest acquisition in Google's history — and Index's stake yielded approximately $3.5 billion.
